The Barry Elementary PTA strives to support the staff, students, and families at Barry Elementary.
We encourage you to join us throughout the school year for fun events, staff and student support, fundraising, and more!!
Barry Elementary PTA provides support and funding for students, teachers, staff, and activities outside of the school budget. Without our PTA, these activities would be limited or not available for students, staff, and families.
The PTA works with the school, parents, and community throughout the year to fundraise and support our students and school. Our biggest fundraiser occurs in the spring and is an glow run event that the kids and staff enjoy each year. We also utilize community support through business sponsorships and donations from local businesses. If you have a business, big or small, and feel you can support us, please let us know!
100% of funds come right back to our school community.
Our elected PTA Board and committee chairs work together to plan events, coordinate fundraisers, and support school initiatives throughout the year.
Serving on the Board or leading a committee requires a greater time commitment, but it is a rewarding way to make a lasting impact on our school community. We are always grateful for dedicated volunteers who want to take an active role.
Membership dues and donations are among our primary sources of funding. By becoming a PTA member or making a donation, you help support Barry Elementary students, teachers, staff, and school programs.
PTA membership is an affordable, low-commitment way to make a difference. Throughout the year, we also offer special membership incentives as a thank-you for supporting our school community.
We also welcome donations of any size throughout the year. Whether you're sponsoring a Barry Pirate, contributing toward an upcoming event, dropping a few dollars in a donation jar at a school function, or making a one-time monetary gift, every contribution helps. These donations allow us to keep PTA-sponsored events, activities, and programs free or low-cost for Barry families whenever possible. You do not have to be a member to make a donation!
Not ready for a long-term commitment? We welcome volunteers of all availability levels. Whether you can help for an hour, a day, or throughout the year, your time makes a difference. You do not have to be a member to volunteer!
Volunteer opportunities include supporting committees, helping at special events, assisting with school activities, or lending a hand when needed. Every contribution helps make Barry Elementary a great place for students and staff.

Interested in Becoming More Involved?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to serve on the PTA Board but aren't quite ready to jump into a leadership role? We'd love to help you learn more! We are always looking for parents and family members who are interested in becoming more involved in the future.
Consider becoming a "Board Member in Training." This informal opportunity allows you to work alongside a current board member for part or all of the school year, learn the responsibilities of the role, and gain firsthand experience behind the scenes. When a position becomes available, you'll already have the knowledge and confidence to step into a leadership role. It's a great way to get involved, ask questions, and help shape the future of the Barry Elementary PTA at your own pace.
Have questions or want to learn more? We'd love to talk with you!
